Consultation Meet on priority areas of research

NECRD convened a Consultation Meet at Convention Centre IGNOU, New Delhi, on 27^th May 2009 where experts on North East India including  Govt. officials / intellectuals / academicians / entrepreneurs  met  under a single platform to discuss priority areas of research for North East India.  The course of action for effective intervention of NECRD was laid out before the experts for their comments. The Centre has since then tried to implement the recommendations steadily moving towards its final objective of partnering the different stakeholders who have an interest in the development of the region. The centre aims to intervene in the development process through enhanced and innovative research on North East India, which can fill the huge vacuum that exists in its database and resource mapping that impedes every effective policy making on Northeast India.
